Cocaine Addiction: What Does It Look Like?

Cocaine generally comes in two forms: crack and powder. Crack, a highly addictive form of cocaine, contains more ingredients that powdered cocaine and undergoes a substance crystallization process. This illegal substance is highly addictive and can lead to abnormal behaviors. Crack produces a feeling of euphoria and can lead to reckless and erratic behavior. In addition, crack’s side effects depending on the amount taken include:

• Moodiness

• Anxiety

• Restlessness

• Loss of appetite

• Increased heart rate

• Breathing irregularity

• Depression

• Hallucinations

• Paranoia

• Stomach problems

• Feelings of extreme elation

The physical and mental side effects of cocaine can lead to disturbing and dangerous behavior that is unpredictable. It can cause the previously most upstanding of citizens to break the law in order to get high.
