TelepsychHealth is a physician-owned, independent practice offering evidence-based psychiatric and psychological services across many states, virtually. We integrate evidence-based clinical approaches with real-world experience in an empathic, trusting, and collaborative environment, providing psychotherapy and medication management in one convenient place.
We are looking for a personable, energetic, motivated psychiatric physician assistant to join our team. We are a general adult psychiatric practice, but given our providers' backgrounds in addiction psychiatry and our relationships with SUD facilities, we would prefer someone comfortable treating addiction disorders alongside general psychiatry. Training in buprenorphine prescribing is required.
About the role
- Fully remote position — you practice from wherever you are licensed.
- 100% outpatient, with no weekend duties.
- At least 10 hours per week of clinical time to start.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and providers to address the mental health needs of adults and their families.
- Practice autonomously, including determining the frequency and duration of patients' appointments and taking on therapy cases.
- Full administrative support for scheduling, pharmacy requests, drafting letters, prior authorizations, and patient messages regarding administrative concerns.
- Reliable, easy-to-use EHR system.
- Please note that insurance credentialing typically takes 90 to 120 days.

Responsibilities
- Provide psychotherapy and psychiatric treatment to a diverse population of individuals.
- Carry out medication management and psychotherapy services in accordance with state and national regulations.
- Maintain the schedule of all active clients.
- Complete timely appointment notes that comply with insurance contracts.
- Participate in effective case collaboration and monthly peer supervision.
- Operate the practice's technology (computer, software, EHR).
- Community involvement and public education are strongly encouraged.
- Non-clinical work may occasionally be involved, such as writing blog articles on psychiatric topics or networking with other offices about collaboration opportunities.
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible.
- Active license to practice, in good standing, with a valid NPI and DEA certificate and no prior disciplinary action.
- Training in buprenorphine prescribing.
- Willing to consent to a background check.
- Maintain and update pertinent clinical records and write progress notes in a timely manner.
- An NPI and an attested CAQH profile (register at nppes.cms.hhs.gov and proview.caqh.org), which are required for credentialing with insurance companies.
- Must not currently be under contract or bound by a non-compete with your current employer.
